STEADINESS & INTRoDUCTION TO SHOT
This workshop covers steadiness as part of the retrieve chain and the hunting and flushing pattern. Learn why it is an important skill for pet gundogs, as well as for those dogs competing and working. We cover steadiness to fall, to flush, and honouring other dogs hunting or retrieving. We also build safe, controlled and positive introduction to gunshot and how to train the appropriate behaviours to gunshot.

WhICH LEVEL should I book?
Beginner - Dogs may be younger and at the start of their gundog training, or older with some general training, but limited experience of gundog style training. Dogs should have basic recall, basic stay and an interest in retrieving.
Improver - Owners of dogs that demonstrate some; steadiness to fall, loose lead walking, ability to respond to whistle cues, ability to complete simple retrieves back to the general area of the handler and the ability to handle arousal levels - the odd woof or whine is fine.
Intermediate - Owners of dog that demonstrate more often than not; steadiness to fall, short bursts of off lead heelwork, ability to respond to whistle cues, ability to complete marked and memory retrieves back to the handler and the ability to handle arousal levels - the odd woof or whine is fine.
